About Us
The Akron Journal of Constitutional Law and Policy is an online scholarly publication dedicated to our nation’s founding document, and the jurisprudence that surrounds it. We seek to publish thought-provoking articles that will impact the field of constitutional law and give our readers a greater understanding of the constitution. As part of our debate series, we endeavor to provide balanced and open debates on issues of the day, recognizing that in the marketplace of ideas, truth will always win out.
The Akron Journal of Constitutional Law and Policy is student-edited, and its website is updated with new articles throughout the year. Members of the Journal are those selected by the Akron Law Review who have a special interest in the field of constitutional law. The Journal is directed by the managing editor, who is primarily responsible for article selection and maintaining the website. The production editor manages the editorial process.
The Akron Journal of Constitutional Law and Policy works closely with The University of Akron School of Law’s Center for Constitutional Law, and its advisors, Professor Richard L. Aynes, who has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court, and Professor Wilson R. Huhn. Although relatively new, the Akron Journal of Constitutional Law and Policy has already gained distinction by being cited by the Petitioners in McDonald v. City of Chicago. As the Journal grows in prominence and recognition, we anticipate that this trend will continue.
